Russian experts visit Georgian wineries, make suggestions

According to preliminary information, the Russian experts made several suggestions on how to remedy certain things

MOSCOW, March 2 (Itar-Tass) – Experts from Russia’s Federal Service for Supervision of Consumer Protection and Welfare (Rospotrebnadzor) have returned from Georgia where they visited wineries and mineral water companies.

“From February 25 to March 1 a group of experts familiarised themselves with the work done by Georgian companies in order to ensure the quality and safety of alcoholic beverages and mineral water intended for supply to Russia,” Rospotrebnadzor said on Saturday, March 2.

“The work was conducted in accordance with the schedule coordinated with the National Wine Agency of Georgia and the National Food Agency of Georgia,” it said.

According to preliminary information, the Russian experts made several suggestions on how to remedy certain things. This marks the end of the first stage of the work. In the future, Russian experts may visit Georgia again to review compliance with their suggestions.
