MOSCOW, March 1 (Itar-Tass) – Statements made at the meeting of the Friends of Syria Group in letter and in sprit encourage extremists to seize power, Russian Foreign Ministry spokesman Alexander Lukashevich said on Friday in his comments on the meeting in Rome.
“The world community has already had a common understanding that there is no military solution to Syria’s crisis,” he said.
“Meanwhile, judging by reports the decisions that had been taken in Rome as well as the statements that had been made in spirit and in letter encourage extremists to the seizure of power despite inevitable sufferings of ordinary Syrians,” the diplomat said.
