MUNICH, February 2 (Itar-Tass) – Russia and the US will continue the joint work on the issues, which are required for the favour of the international security, Russia’s Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov told participants in the 49th Munich conference on security on Saturday.

“Our agenda /with the US/ is rather vast, positive, but the relations between major countries are bound to have discrepancies, too, and sometimes, even serious ones,” the minister said.

“We shall consider with responsibility any issue in the Russian-American relations due for agreement, if we are based on the principles of mutual respect, equality and mutual respect for interests,” Lavrov said.

“In the issues, where for the benefit of the international security we may work together, we have been working and will continue doing so,” the foreign minister added.

Moscow suggests reaching an agreement on strict guarantees of non-directing of the US antiballistic missiles against any OSCE country, Russia’s Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov told the 49th Munich conference on security on Saturday.

“Moscow suggests reaching an agreement on strict guarantees of non-directing of the US antiballistic missiles against any OSCE country and having clear military and technical criteria to evaluate ABM systems respond the declared objectives: to neutralise the threats from outside of the Euro-Atlantic region,” he said.
