ZAGREB, January 25 (Itar-Tass) – Russian teenage athlete Adelina Sotnikova produced an impressive performance in women’s short program at the European Figure Skating Championships in Zagreb Friday as she landed a triple-triple toe loop, a triple flip and double axel.
Adelina, a 16-year-old debutante at the championships, got 67.61 points from the judges.
She is followed by the internationally renowned figure skating star, Carolina Kostner of Italy with 64.19 points and another Italian athlete, Valentina Marchei with 58.22 points.
One more Russian, Yelizaveta Tuktamysheva, occupies the 4th position with 57.18 points.
