DAVOS, January 24 (Itar-Tass) — Russian Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev met with the international media council here on Thursday. The meeting was held behind closed doors.
The World Economic Forum has established the international media council in 2006. The international media council includes 100 most influential centres of the media community, producers, publishers, chief editors, the heads of the departments and editorial writers of the printed editions, representatives of electronic and printed media, as well as bloggers.
The international media council meets twice a year. The main task of the council is the detailed study of the scope of global problems and the prospects for the development of the mass media to increase the quality and the level of informing the society.
