BEIJING, January 22 (Itar-Tass) — The cooperation agreement between Itar-Tass and the leading Chinese newspaper Renmin Ribao (People’s Daily) was signed in Beijing on Tuesday by Itar-Tass Director General Sergei Mikhailov and People’s Daily Director General Zhang Yannong.
The document envisages the strengthening of interaction in giving coverage of the life of the two countries, their political, economic and cultural cooperation in the spirit of comprehensive Russian-Chinese strategic partnership. The parties will exchange delegations, share their information work experience, hold joint conferences.
The Renminwang news website that has a Russian version has evoked a keen interest of the Itar-Tass delegation during the familiarisation with the People’s Daily holding. It enjoys great popularity in Russia.
The parties agreed to promote cooperation in the sphere of the Internet, new and state-of-the-art media technologies.
