BEIJING, January 21 (Itar-Tass) — Itar-Tass Director-General Sergei Mikhailov met with Xinhua President Li Congjun on Monday to discuss prospects for further development of fruitful cooperation between the news agencies of both countries.
Mikhailov and Li agreed to strengthen interaction in covering events on strengthening strategic partnership between China and Russia, as well as on high-level visits, economic relations etc.
Li Congjun praised the 2012 Moscow Media Summit, which had been held under the auspices of Itar-Tass News Agency.
The news agencies’ leaders also exchanged views on holding the next Media Summit.
