MOSCOW, January 9 (Itar-Tass) — Moscow will continue to work towards the soonest return of the Russian sailors to their homeland from Nigeria, diplomats told Itar-Tass on Wednesday.
"We're hoping the Nigerian partners will keep their word this time and release the Russian sailors without additional conditions and further delay," they said.
The ministry confirmed the report that Nigeria police were questioning the Russian sailors and that no decision on their arrest had been passed and no official charges against the Russians had been brought.
