TYUMEN, January 9 (Itar-Tass) — Tyumen’s Bolshoi Drama Theatre has invited to work French actor Gerard Depardieu. The official invitation to the Tyumen troupe will be signed on Wednesday, theatre Director Sergei Osintsev told Itar-Tass.

“We don’t know the address to which our invitation should be sent to reach the great Frenchman, so we will place all the documents on the Internet. I’m sure they will get to the actor,” he said.

The Tyumen theatre offers work to Gerard Depardieu from March 2013 under a temporary employment contract with a salary of 16,000 roubles, to which all the local allowances and benefits will be added. “Along with the bonus for the title can the salary may reach 23,000 roubles, minus the income tax, which is lower in Russia than in France,” Sergei Osintsev specified.

The Tyumen theatre, he said, can ensure direct contact of the French actor with the Russian-speaking audience - the theatre stage is equipped with the individual text translation system for the audience (audio, video, roller captions). Osintsev also noted that the Tyumen Bolshoi Theatre is the largest drama theatre in Russia.

First, according to its director, it was just a joke of the actors – they have learnt at a rehearsal that Depardieu has received Russian citizenship and decided to invite him to Tyumen. “Now I think it’s quite a real thing to do - at least invite him to our anniversary evening on March 27 – when our theatre will celebrate 155 years since its foundation. I think the actor who played Grigory Rasputin would be interested in visiting the homeland of this extraordinary man, to visit the home in which he lived, to sit in the legendary chair that gives men special strength,” Osintsev said.

The Tyumen is currently cherishing an idea to invite to Tyumen an equally great actress Brigitte Bardot, who, according to recent media reports, also wants Russian citizenship.
