MOSCOW, January 2 (Itar-Tass) — Russian President Vladimir Putin has signed the law that will allow foreign businessmen to obtain Russian business visa valid for five years, the Kremlin website reports. The law was passed by the State Duma lower house of parliament on December 19 and approved by the Federation Council upper house on December 26, 2012.

The law aims to provide opportunities for getting Russian visas to representatives or employees of large foreign companies that invest in Russia, participate in projects to create the Skolkovo innovations centre and the International Financial Centre, based on direct applications of a federal body of executive authority authorised by the RF government.

The term of the simple business visa has been one year before.
