Avalanche entraps Russian tourist in southern Kyrgyzstan

The avalanche went down on three Russians, one of them is reported missing

BISHKEK, December 29 (Itar-Tass) — The avalanche has entrapped a Russian tourist in southern Kyrgyzstan, the republican Ministry of Emergency Situations told Itar-Tass on Saturday.

“The incident occurred on Friday evening. The avalanche went down on three Russians, one of them is reported missing in the Alai district of the Osh Region,” the ministry reported.

At the request of the republican ministry emergency workers are engaged in the search-and-rescue operation at the incident site. “However, the rescue operation was futile yet, therefore, the search for Muscovite Sergei Chernyshev, 39, continues,” the ministry reported.
