According to Lukashenko, recently he had met with Ukrainian President Viktor Yanukovich

MOSCOW, December 20 (Itar-Tass) — Ukraine shows interest in joining the common economic space, Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko said on Wednesday, December 19.

After the session of the Supreme Eurasian Economic Union, Lukashenko said, “We made it clear that the door was opened for those who wanted to join the common economic space. That’s the documents. We will accept them and cooperate.”

“Not only Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan, but also Ukraine shows interest in this,” he said.

According to Lukashenko, recently he had met with Ukrainian President Viktor Yanukovich. These issues were discussed by the presidents of both countries. “The interest is very high,” the Belarusian president added.

“But there can be any selective entry, by certain package of issues,” he warned. In his words, any country can join the common economic space on common conditions, which are equal for anyone.
