Investigators looking into Moscow region helicopter crash

There were three persons on board, including local businessman Fyodor Tsaryov

MOSCOW, December 13 (Itar-Tass) — Investigators in the Moscow region have launched a probe into the crash of a private helicopter, in which three persons died, an official at the Investigative Committee /SK/ told Itar-Tass on Wednesday.

A private Robinson R-44 took off from the village of Ploski, Konakovsky district, Tver Region, late on December 8. It headed for the village of Ozeretskoye, Dmitrov district, Moscow region. There were three persons on board, including local businessman Fyodor Tsaryov.

The helicopter did not arrive at the place of destination, and rescue services launched a search. On Wednesday, rescuers found fragments of the helicopter and the bodies of the three people in the Solnechnogorsk district of the Moscow region.

"The Moscow regional investigation department on the transport is running a pre-investigation check into the crash of a private helicopter in the Moscow region. A group of investigators was sent to the crash scene to ascertain all the circumstances of the accident," the SK said.
