BRUSSELS, April 9. /TASS/. Ukraine is "desperately asking" for seven Patriot batteries, top EU diplomat Josep Borrell said at a conference in Brussels.

According to him, Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmitry Kuleba "is desperately asking for seven Patriot batteries." "The Western armies have about 100 batteries of Patriot, and still, we are not able to provide the seven they are asking for desperately," Borrell noted.

The top EU diplomat also said that he would call for increasing Ukraine’s air defense capacity at the next joint meeting of EU foreign and defense ministers.
