SCO condemns terrorist attacks in Russia, Iran, Pakistan

The Council of the Regional Anti-Terrorist Structure reaffirmed its "commitment to uncompromising fight against any manifestations of terrorism"

TASHKENT, March 29. /TASS/. The Council of the Regional Anti-Terrorist Structure (RATS) of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) has condemned the terrorist attacks in Iran's Kerman city, Russia's Moscow Region and Pakistan's Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province at its 41st meeting in Tashkent, the SCO RATS press service said in a statement.

Meeting participants expressed hope that the organizers and perpetrators would be quickly identified and punished.

"The SCO RATS Council during the meeting issued a statement condemning the terrorist attacks committed on January 3, 2024 in the city of Kerman of the Islamic Republic of Iran, March 22, 2024 in Russia's Moscow region in the Crocus City Hall building and on March 26 in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, expressed deep condolences to the families and friends of the victims and wished a quick recovery to the injured," the text reads.

Besides, the SCO RATS Council reaffirmed its "commitment to uncompromising fight against any manifestations of terrorism and expressed confidence in the swift identification and punishment of all organizers and perpetrators of these terrorist attacks."

The competent bodies of the SCO member states will continue to strengthen cooperation and step up efforts to defeat terrorism, extremism and separatism, the report emphasized.
