PRAGUE, March 5. /TASS/. France is not ready to support decisions related to the use of frozen Russian assets if they do not comply with international law, President Emmanuel Macron said at a press conference with Czech President Petr Pavel.
"We oppose initiatives that do not comply with international law. We do not support starting a debate that I believe is damaging Europe, where most of these assets are based," Macron said.
At the same time, he supported the European Commission's plan to impose a tax on profits from reinvesting Russian assets frozen in the EU. According to Macron, the revenue could reach 3-5 bln euro per year.
