European Commission yet to initiate talks on Ukraine's EU admission, confirms spokesperson

EU leaders made the decision to start talks with Ukraine on its admission to the organization at their meeting in Brussels

BRUSSELS, January 11. /TASS/. The European Commission (EC) has not yet started talks with Ukraine on its admission to the European Union, EC spokeswoman Ana Pisonero said.

"The [European] Commission is currently considering when to launch and is working on the next steps in line with the European Council’s conclusions," she said.

EU leaders made the decision to start talks with Ukraine on its admission to the organization at their meeting in Brussels on December 14-15.
