Moscow-led bloc appoints new Deputy Secretary General

Taalatbek Masadykov recently worked as a special representative for the Kyrgyz President

BISHKEK, December 22. /TASS/. Kyrgyz President Sadyr Japarov has appointed Taalatbek Masadykov as Deputy Secretary General of the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO), the press service of the Kyrgyz leader reported.

"Kyrgyz President Sadyr Japarov signed a decree according to which Taalatbek Shamudinovich Masadykov was appointed to the post of Deputy Secretary General of the Collective Security Treaty Organization from January 1, 2024. He was relieved of his earlier position," the statement said.

The press service recalled that Japarov received Masadykov today. "During the meeting they discussed a number of issues on priority areas of the CSTO’s work," the report said. Masadykov recently worked as a special representative for the Kyrgyz President.
