Turkmen president to come to Moscow for Victory Day parade — diplomatic source

He is expected to arrive by morning

MOSCOW, May 8. /TASS/. Turkmen President Serdar Berdimuhamedow is set to come to Moscow by Tuesday morning to take part in the Victory Day parade, a diplomatic source told TASS on Monday.

"The Turkmen president has accepted the invitation. He is expected to arrive by morning," the source said.

He will be joining the leaders of Armenia, Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan and Belarus who have come to Moscow for the parade.

Earlier on Monday, Russian President Vladimir Putin sent Victory Day greetings to the leaders of Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan, Abkhazia, South Ossetia, and the peoples of Georgia and Moldova.
