OPEC+ decision may lead to oil prices remaining high — Japan’s government

Japanese authorities will continue keeping an eye on developments in the energy market, Chief Cabinet Secretary Hirokazu Matsuno said

TOKYO, April 4. /TASS/. The Japanese government believes that the decision of OPEC+ agreement participants to reduce oil production may result in prices for this feedstock to remain high, Chief Cabinet Secretary Hirokazu Matsuno said at a press conference on Tuesday.

"We believe this inevitably leads to oil prices staying at a high level," the official said. Japanese authorities will continue keeping an eye on developments in the energy market and strengthen interaction with international energy institutions and the largest countries - consumers, he added.
