Russia requests UN Security Council meeting on Ukraine for February 8

UNITED NATIONS, February 2. /TASS/. The UN Security Council on Ukraine, requested by Russia, will take place on February 8, Permanent Representative of Malta, Security Council President Vanessa Frazier said during a press conference on the Security Council schedule for this month.

She noted that she is unaware of the details of the meeting.

Meanwhile, on February 6, the Security Council will hold a meeting on the humanitarian situation in Ukraine, requested by France and Ecuador.

Thus, at least three Security Council meeting on Ukraine will take place in February: the February 6 meeting, requested by France and Ecuador; the February 8 meeting, requested by Russia; and the ministerial meeting, scheduled for February 24.
