US responsible for ‘blowing into fire’ of Ukrainian conflict — Iranian Foreign Minister

BEIRUT, January 24. /TASS/. The US is responsible for "blowing into the fire" in Ukraine, says Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian.

"The White House is in no position to even talk about human rights. Slaughtering of 2 million people in Iraq, Afghanistan, Yemen and Syria, and blowing into the fire of the Ukrainian war are results of American interventionism," the Foreign Minister tweeted.

In 2022, the EU, the US and a number of other states imposed restrictions against Iranian citizens and companies, whom they considered responsible for suppression of protests. Tehran believes that Washington and Brussels use sanctions as a tool to escalate social tensions inside the republic.
