UNITED NATIONS, April 26. /TASS/. It is too early to congratulate Ukraine's president-elect Vladimir Zelensky since he is sending contradictory signals, Russian Envoy to the UN Vasily Nebenzya told a UN Security Council session on Ukraine on Thursday.

"When it comes to hypothetical flowers that you proposed to send to president-elect Zelensky, it is too early to send him flowers," Nebenzya said in response to Germany's envoy. "So far, Zelensky has been sending contradictory signals," he added.

The Russian diplomat expressed hope that Zelensky will make real steps to settle the situation in Donbass. "However, intentions become apparent in one's deeds, and not beforehand," he said. "That's why we will see whether he will observe the Minsk Agreements or make up new formats. Time will show," Nebenzya concluded.
