MOSCOW, April 19. /TASS/. The presidential debates between candidates Pyotr Poroshenko and Vladimir Zelensky have shown that the deception of Ukrainian citizens continues, Russian Foreign Ministry Spokeswoman Maria Zakharova stated on her Facebook page.

"I’ve seen the debates in Kiev," she noted. "The deception of Ukrainians continues. On the other hand, what if they love living like this?"

"How lucky that the people of Crimea have come to their senses on time and managed to get out of this circus," Zakharova added.

The Ukrainian presidential debates have been held on Friday evening at the Olympic Stadium in Kiev.

The runoff of Ukraine’s presidential elections is scheduled for April 21 and will feature head of the Servant of the People party Vladimir Zelensky going up against incumbent President Pyotr Poroshenko. The first round took place on March 31 and saw Zelensky receiving 30.24% of the votes, almost twice as much as Poroshenko, who got 15.95%.
