Zelensky kneels before spectators, Poroshenko does the same before Ukrainian flag

KIEV, April 19. /TASS/. Ukrainian presidential candidates Pyotr Poroshenko and Vladimir Zelensky have gone down on their knees during the debates at the Olympic Stadium in Kiev, honoring those who lost their loved ones during the war in Donbass.

Zelensky was the first one to kneel before the stadium’s audience, calling Poroshenko to do the same. Poroshenko has gone down on one knee turning his back to the public and facing the Ukrainian flag.

"You see, it’s not hard to be human," Zelensky said.

Earlier, during the debates,, Zelensky promised that if he is elected president, he will do everything in his power to get rid of people with ties to Poroshenko active in Ukrainian politics.

"I have already said that I am running for one term. And I keep my fingers crossed that your team will be gone from politics," Zelensky said.

"I will tell you this now: all those violating the law <…> will go to jail," he stressed, addressing Poroshenko during Friday’s debates at the Olympic Stadium in Kiev.
