TALLINN, April 18. /TASS/. Estonian President Kersti Kaljulaid hopes that there will be "a breath of fresh air" in Russian-Estonian relations, she wrote on Facebook on Thursday.

"I hope that the opening of the reconstructed embassy [of Estonia and Russia] will give a breath of fresh air in the relations between Estonia and Russia. My visit [to Moscow] is a sign that Estonia is ready to communicate with its neighbor," she added.

Earlier on Thursday, the Estonian leader arrived in Moscow, where she participated in the opening ceremony of the reconstructed Estonian Embassy in Russia. After the ceremony, Kaljulaid met with Russian President Vladimir Putin, who noted the previous lack of meaningful contact between Russian and Estonian officials.
