MOSCOW, April 3. /TASS/. Russia has numerously attempted to give Venezuela a clue about the need for reforms in order to improve its social and economic situation, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov said in an interview with the Russian daily Moskovsky Komsomolets.
"I agree with you about Venezuela’s social and economic situation," he said in the interview published on Wednesday. "Honestly, we have been trying for longer than one year to give our Venezuelan counterparts a clue about the urgency of reforms. Special consultations have been held at their request. There has been no lack of corresponding consultations."
Lavrov added that Russia does not accept the ways the United States uses to improve the lives of the Venezuelans.
