KIEV, April 1. /TASS/. With 22% of ballots counted, the Servant of the People political party candidate Vladimir Zelensky and current President Pyotr Poroshenko remain the leaders of the presidential race in Ukraine.

According to the Central Election Commission’s online vote count, Zelensky holds the lead with more than 30% of the vote, Poroshenko is the runner up, garnering 16.8%.

The leader the Batkivshchyna party, Yulia Tymoshenko, trails behind with 13.29%. She is followed by Yuri Boyko, candidate from the Opposition Platform - For Life, who has 11.37%. The last candidate in the top five is Anatoly Gritsenko of the Civil Position party with 6.99%.

The final turnout stood at 63.52%, the country’s Central Election Commission said citing data obtained from all 199 district election commissions.

The lowest turnout - 46.99% - was registered in Ukraine’s westernmost region of Zakarpattia. The regions of Lvov (west) and Volyn (northwest), and the capital Kiev posted the highest turnout of 68.88%, 68.35% and 68.01%, respectively.

Over 18.8 million people received ballots at polling stations, while electoral registers had 29.6 million names on them, according to CEC.
