UK Parliament rejects draft Brexit deal for the third time

During the vote, 344 members of the House of Commons voted against the deal, while 286 supported it.

LONDON, March 29. /TASS/. The UK House of Commons has rejected a draft deal with Brussels to specify the terms of UK’s withdrawal from the EU. During Friday’s vote, 344 members of the House of Commons voted against the deal, while 286 supported it.

If the deal had been approved, the MPs would have until May 22 to agree on all remaining issues related to Brexit, and the UK would leave the European Union in less than two months. The outcome of the vote means that a possibility of no-deal Brexit is high.

Earlier, the EU warned that if the British MPs fail to approve a deal this week, the country would leave the EU on April 12. Another opportunity is the UK participating in the European Parliament election and postponing the talks until the end of next year or later.
