Thus, according to the report, the ICG condemns the recent decision to prohibit Juan Guaido from holding any government posts for 15 years

BUENOS AIRES, March 29. /TASS/. The decision of the Venezuelan authorities to ban opposition leader Juan Guaido from holding public office hinders the search for a peaceful solution to the crisis in the country, according to the International Contact Group (ICG) on Venezuela.

Thus, according to the report, the ICG condemns the recent decision to prohibit Juan Guaido from holding any government posts for 15 years. Such actions further undermine efforts to achieve a peaceful and democratic solution to the Venezuela crisis, the organization said.

The ICG held its first meeting on February 7 in Montevideo. A number of EU countries, Bolivia, Costa Rica, Ecuador and Uruguay participated in the meeting. Representatives of the opposition and the authorities of Venezuela did not attend the event.
