Syria’s air defenses repel Israeli attack in Aleppo - report

The attack inflicted only material damage, SANA news agency reported

MOSCOW, March 28. /TASS/. Syria’s air defense systems repelled an Israeli air attack in Aleppo overnight to Thursday, the SANA news agency reported.

According to the agency, at 23:00 local time on Wednesday the air defenses were used against a missile attack, which targeted several facilities in the industrial zone in Shaykh Najjar in the city’s northeast. Several missiles were shot down.

The attack inflicted only material damage, the news agency reported.

Earlier reports said several explosions had been heard near Aleppo’s international airport.
