Serbian foreign minister to visit Russia on April 17

Ivica Dacic's visit coincides with the celebrations timed to the 140th anniversary of the first Serbian embassy

BELGRADE, March 15. /TASS/. Serbian Foreign Minister Ivica Dacic will visit Russia on April 17 at the invitation of Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov, the Serbian Foreign Ministry’s press service informed on the outcomes of the meeting between Dacic and Russian Ambassador in Belgrade Alexander Chepurin.

"They have discussed the minister’s visit to the Russian Federation within the framework of the celebrations timed to the 140th anniversary of the opening of the first Serbian embassy in St. Petersburg. Ambassador Chepurin has sent Minister Dacic the invitation by Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov to visit Moscow on April 17 of this year, which he accepted with pleasure," the message states.

The celebrations timed to the 140th anniversary of the first Serbian embassy will take place on April 17-18. A special exhibition dedicated to the history of diplomatic relations between both countries will be held in St. Petersburg.
