Saakashvili accuses Ukrainian authorities of stealing

Ex-President of Georgia and former Governor of the Odessa Region was stripped of his Ukrainian citizenship and deported in February 2018

KIEV, March 13. /TASS/. Ex-President of Georgia and former Governor of the Odessa Region Mikhail Saakashvili accused the incumbent Ukrainian authorities of stealing from the people, and declared that he would come to the people’s aid.

"You do not want anyone to get in the way of your stealing from the country, under your rule Ukraine has already become the poorest nation in Europe, maybe it’s time to stop lying to the people and high time you packed you bags?" he wrote on Facebook on Wednesday addressing Ukrainian authorities. "Your disgraceful time in power is coming to an end, I will come back to help the people of Ukraine to recover their lost time, stop your boss from smuggling everything he had stolen and recover everything".

Saakashvili was stripped of his Ukrainian citizenship and deported from the country in February 2018. However, he said he was confident that the border control officers would allow him to enter the country.
