Venezuela partially opens border with Colombia

It was opened to certain groups of pedestrians, so far, some 2,000 people have already crossed into Colombia

URENA /Venezuela/, March 11. /TASS/. Venezuela’s authorities have given permission to open the country’s border with Colombia to school and college students in need of medical care and medicine and their accompanying persons, a TASS correspondent reported.

"The border was opened to certain groups of pedestrians on March 11. More than 2,000 people have already crossed the border and entered Colombia," a Venezuelan National Guard spokesman said at a checkpoint in Urena.
