Pakistani airspace to remain closed until March 4

The airspace would be closed to all flights, except for those from and to the international airports of Karachi, Peshawar, Islamabad and Quetta

MOSCOW, March 1. /TASS/. Pakistan’s aviation authorities have extended a prohibition on the use of the country’s airspace until 08:00 UTC (11:00 Moscow time) Monday, March 4, with exceptions made for four airports. The Notice to Airmen (NOTAM) to this effect was posted on the website of Pakistan’s Civil Aviation Authority on Friday.

It states that the airspace would be closed to all flights, except for those from and to the international airports of Karachi, Peshawar, Islamabad and Quetta. They will be able to start serving flights at 16:00 Moscow on Friday.

An air traffic control source earlier informed TASS that a ban on flights over Pakistan had been extended.
