NATO-Russia council session to be held on January 25 in Brussels

The sides are expected to discuss the situation in the sphere of security and military transparency in Europe

BRUSSELS, January 21. /TASS/. This year’s first session of NATO-Russia Council (NRC) at the ambassadorial level will be held on January 25 in Brussels, the NATO press service informed TASS on Monday.

"Following consultations with Russia, we have agreed to hold a meeting of the NATO-Russia Council at Ambassadorial level on 25 January 2019 at NATO Headquarters in Brussels. This meeting is the continuation of our political dialogue, as agreed by NATO Heads of State and Government," the source stated.

The sides are expected to discuss the situation in the sphere of security and military transparency in Europe, as well as the situation in Afghanistan. The sides will also reaffirm their positions on the Ukrainian conflict.
