Kiev forces violate ceasefire three times in past day, Lugansk militias say

According to the spokesman, the fire was opened from mortars, grenade launchers and large-caliber small arms

LUGANSK, January 20. /TASS/. Ukraine’s forces shelled militia positions in the self-proclaimed Lugansk People’s Republic three times over the past 24 hours, the LPR militias told reporters on Sunday.

"The shellings targeted areas in the villages of Zhelobok and Krasny Yar, and also the outskirts of a monument to Prince Igor near Stanitsa Luganskaya," the LuganskInformCenter quoted a militia spokesman as saying.

According to the spokesman, the fire was opened from mortars, grenade launchers and large-caliber small arms.

The latest ceasefire entered into force on December 29, 2018, ahead of the New Year and Christmas holidays in Donbass. The truce was reached by members of the Contact Group on the settlement of the crisis in Donbass. The sides have agreed more than 20 ceasefires since the start of the Donbass conflict, but no lasting truce was reached.
