Crew of Russian vessel arrested in UK has all necessary supplies

Salaries are paid in time, and no complaints came from the crew members, the Murmansk Shipping Company, specified

MOSCOW, January 18. /TASS/. /TASS/. Sailors from the bulk carrier Kuzma Minin, that is operated by the Murmansk Shipping Company (MSCO) and was arrested in the UK, have all the necessary supplies, the MSCO’s press service told TASS on Friday.

"The crew is receiving products according to the applications, there everything that is needed on board the vessel, salaries are paid in time, and no complaints came from the crew members," the company specified, noting that all the sailors have operating contracts, and the crew will be replaced when they expire.

In December, the vessel, that was going from the Netherlands, ran aground near the port of Falmouth and sustained damage of its oil tank. It was later brought afloat, and it anchored at the port’s roadstead. The British port authorities detained the vessel before the end of the investigation into the incident and the repair of damage. Later British court ruled to arrest the vessel due to the ship owner’s debts.

Before approaching the UK the bulk carrier could not leave the Netherlands for a long time due to the commercial disputes between the vessel owner and contractors.
