TEL AVIV, January 13. /TASS/. Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu admitted on Sunday that Israel had attacked targets in Syria over the last 36 hours.

"Over the last 36 hours, the Israeli Air Force delivered strikes on targets in Syria," Netanyahu said at the opening of Sunday’s weekly cabinet meeting.

The Israel Defense Forces attacked targets of Iran and [Lebanese Shi’a movement] Hezbollah. The latest strikes prove that we are determined to act against Iran in Syria", the premier said, according to Israeli radio Kan.

Syria’s SANA news agency reported that overnight to Saturday Israel hit a warehouse near the Damascus airport. According to Al-Hadath TV channel, the Israeli planes attacked Iranian military warehouses near the airport, which are used by the Hezbollah militias, fighting on the side of the government’s army.
