Armenian people managed to fully exercise their right to choice, says party leader

YEREVAN, December 11. /TASS/. The Armenian people managed to fully exercise its basic right to choice, which is the main achievement of the early parliamentary election that was held in the republic on Sunday, leader of the Prosperous Armenia Party Gagik Tsarukyan told TASS on Monday.

"Our party regards the election as transparent and just. We achieved the most important thing - absolute honesty," Tsarukyan said.

The goal of the party is to promote the concept of the economic revolution that was the basis of the election campaign at the election of the National Assembly (parliament), he noted. "Our party has 26 seats, according to preliminary results. It will make it possible for our voice to be heard," the leader of the Prosperous Armenia Party stressed.

"The Armenian people managed to fully exercise their basic right to choice, and it is the main achievement [of the held election,]" Tsarukyan concluded.

The early parliamentary election was held in Armenia on December 9. Acting Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan’s bloc "My Step" won the election with 70.43% of votes. The Prosperous Armenia Party (8.27% of votes) and Bright Armenia (6.37% of votes) also entered the parliament.
