DPR’s reconnaissance spots assault drones at Ukrainian troops’ positions in Donbass

A big number of assault drones have been delivered to an area near Gorlovka

DONETSK, December 9. /TASS/. A big number of assault drones that can be used to stage provocations with chemical weapons have been delivered by Ukrainian troops to an area near Gorlovka, Daniil Bezsonov, a spokesman for the defense ministry of the self-proclaimed Donetsk People’s Republic (DPR), on Sunday.

"We have received reliable reconnaissance data that a great number of assault drones of the Warmate-1 and Bayraktar types have been delivered by railway transport to the Gorlovka direction. Drones of the later type, manufactured jointly by Turkey and Ukraine, are capable of carrying of up to 70 kilograms. The Ukrainian authorities have recently boasted of buying drones of this type," the Donetsk News Agency quoted him as saying.

According to Bezsonov, these drones are meant to be used to stage provocations in Donbass and attack vital facilities in the DPR. "Apart from that, the Ukrainian and British military have prepared video materials based on computer graphics to be released in media outlets after a chemical provocation. The fake videos are to serve as evidence of alleged use of unmanned aerial vehicles with chemical weapons by DPR servicemen," he said.

Under the agreements reached at the Minsk talks of the Contact Group, only monitors of the OSCE Special Monitoring Mission are allowed to use unmanned aerial vehicles in the areas adjacent to the contact line in Donbass.
