FAA extends no-fly rule for US carriers over Damascus skies until December 2020

The notification takes effect on December 30

WASHINGTON, December 7. /TASS/. US aviation authorities have extended a ban on commercial and private flights by American air carriers in the Damascus flight zone for another two years, the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) said on Friday.

The notification takes effect on December 30, 2018, and it will remain valid until December 30, 2020.

The prohibition had been previously extended for two years in 2016.
