Russian, Argentine leaders to hold bilateral talks after G20 summit

In particular, the leaders plan to sign several bilateral intergovernmental and inter-agency documents, including commercial contracts

MOSCOW, November 28. /TASS/. Russian President Vladimit Putin will hold bilateral talks with Argentine President Mauricio Macri on December 1 after the G20 summit in Buenos Aires, Kremlin Aide Yuri Ushakov informed, adding that the leaders are expected to sign a package of cooperation agreements on the outcomes of the meeting.

"One of the main issues discussed at the Russian-Argentine summit will be the development of trade and economic cooperation," he said. Ushakov reminded that in 2017, the trade turnover rose by 5.6% and reached $890 mln, and in January-September of this year, it has grown by over 25% to reach $915.6 mln. "It is expected that on the outcomes of the year, mutual trade figures will exceed $1 bln," the Kremlin aide added.

"On the outcomes of the talks, [the leaders] plan to sign several Russian-Argentine intergovernmental and inter-agency documents, including commercial contracts," Ushakov said.

The main areas of economic cooperation between Russia and Argentina are energy, mechanical engineering, transport and agriculture, the Kremlin representative stated.
