Moldovan president to take part in EAEU heads of state meeting

Moldova signed a memorandum on cooperation and has been granted an observer status with the EAEU

CHISINAU, November 22./TASS/. Moldovan President Igor Dodon will take part in a session of the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) heads of state in St. Petersburg.

"I will be in St. Petersburg on December 6 for a meeting of the heads of state of the EAEU, where we were invited as observers," Dodon told reporters after a meeting with Russian business people which was broadcast from Moscow by Moldovan Accent TV..

He said an agreement on cooperation between certain Moldovan regions and Russia is planned to be signed on the sidelines of the summit. This is done to launch a pilot project for direct supplies of Moldovan products. The launch of the brand "Done in Moldova - done for Russia" under which Moldovan products will be sold in Russian stores is also planned. Initially, it will be tested in Russia’s Bashkortostan.
