Fifty-three people injured in Gaza rocket fire

Israel's emergency service Magen David Adom said two people are in a critical condition

MOSCOW, November 13. /TASS/. /TASS/. The number of people injured in Gaza rocket fire has grown to 53, with two persons in a critical condition, Israel's emergency service Magen David Adom (MDA) said on its Twitter microblog on Tuesday.

"From 16:30 until 01:15, MDA teams are on highest alert and have treated 53 injured, including; 2 in critical condition (a soldier) from shrapnel and a 60 year old woman, 1 moderately injured, 23 injured lightly, 27 people suffering from stress symptoms," MDA said.

On Monday militants in Gaza fired rockets and mortars at Israel. On November 11, Israel carried out a military operaiton in the south of Gaza. Seven members of the Izz ad-Din al-Qassam Brigades, the military wing of the Palestinian Hamas organization that controls the Gaza Strip, were killed in the raid, including one commander.

The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) reported that fighter jets, military helicopters, drones and tanks delivered air strikes on more than 70 military targets of Hamas and Islamic Jihad groups in Gaza. According to the IDF, Gazan militants fired over 300 rockets and mortars at Israel on Monday.
