Russian, US diplomats discuss situation on Korean peninsula

The conversation was held at the US initiative

MOSCOW, November 9. /TASS/. During a phone call, Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Igor Morgulov and US State Department Special Representative for North Korea Stephen Biegun have discussed the situation around the Korean peninsula, the Russian Foreign Ministry informs.

"The sides have exchanged opinions on the current situation on the Korean peninsula. They agreed to maintain contacts in the interest of complex regulation of the subregion’s issues," the ministry noted.

The conversation was held at the initiative of the US.
