Trump says both Russia, US to blame for state of relationship

Diplomacy and engagement are preferable to conflict and hostility, the US leader said

HELSINKI, July 16. /TASS/. Both Moscow and Washington are responsible for the current state of relationship between the two countries, US President Donald Trump said at a joint news conference with his Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin on Monday.

"I hold both countries responsible," Trump said. "I think the United States has been foolish. I think we’ve all been foolish"

"I think we’re all to blame," he added.

"Diplomacy and engagement are preferable to conflict and hostility ... Not only good for the United States and Russia but good for the world," the US leader said.
