Croatian President thanks Russia for warm welcome during 2018 FIFA World Cup

MOSCOW, July 15. /TASS/. Croatian President Kolinda Grabar-Kitarovic posted a video message on her Facebook page, in which she thanks Russian fans for the warm welcome during the 2018 FIFA World Cup. The president recorded the message in Russian and published it on Sunday.

"Hello, Russian fans! On behalf of the Croatian fans, I thank Russia for the warm welcome, you are wonderful hosts. Let’s root for Croatia today. Let’s cheer together," the president said.

The Croatian leader also posted a message to Croatian fans on her Instagram page, in which she expresses her confidence that Croatia will become the World Cup champion. She recorded the message of support on her plane to Moscow.

"Hello to all Croatian supporters around the world! We’re on our way to Moscow. Please, cheer with us tonight. We will be coming back as winners," Grabar-Kitarovic said.

Grabar-Kitarovic arrived in Moscow on Sunday. Before attending the final game, she met with Croatian fans and is scheduled to meet Russian President Vladimir Putin in Kremlin, the Croatian president’s office informed TASS via phone.

The Croatian leader will attend the final game between France and Croatia at Luzhniki stadium in Moscow. The kickoff is at 18:00 Moscow time. Earlier, the Croatian president visited two games of her national team at the 2018 FIFA World Cup.
