MOSCOW, July 13. /TASS/. Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas on Friday arrived on a working visit to Russia, a spokesman for the Palestinian embassy told TASS.
"The president has arrived in Moscow," he said.
On Saturday, Abbas will have talks with Russian President Vladimir Putin. Palestinian Ambassador to Moscow Abdel Hafiz Nafal told TASS earlier the Palestinian leader plans to discuss with his Russian counterpart steps to launch the Middle East peace process and establish a multilateral mechanism for settling the Palestinian-Israeli conflict.
On the following day, the Palestinian leader plans to attend the 2018 FIFA World Cup final match between France and Croatia at Moscow’s Luzhniki Stadium. Apart from that, according to the Palestinian ambassador, Abbas will hold meetings with the leaders of other nations who will come to Moscow to watch the World Cup final match.
The Palestinian leader will leave Moscow on July 16.
