More than 70 injured as quake hits Iran’s southwest

The epicenter was registered 11.2 km to the northwest of Yasuj

MOSCOW, May 2. /TASS/. At least 76 people were wounded on Wednesday when an earthquake struck southwestern Iran’s Kohgiluyeh and Boyer-Ahmad Province, the IRNA news agency reported.

According to the US Geological Survey, the 5.3 magnitude quake hit Iran at 9.08 a.m. The epicenter was registered 11.2 km to the northwest of Yasuj. The earthquake focus was at the depth of 10 km.
